Hope, relaxation, joy and peace are the things I hope you will experience when viewing my art. A desire for creative release is an inborn instinct that has been imparted to me by the greatest creator of all things, God. In creating art it is my goal that something of His character be reflected in every piece.
Aspects of visual art, dance and song that I am inspired to create include both simple expressions of feeling and more carefully planned inspirations that may take longer periods of time to complete. Technically, this could include any medium from watercolors to mixed media to acrylics or oil paintings on canvas depending on what I'm trying to accomplish and what is most practical at the time. Sometimes I may write a story, song or explanation to go with a painting or as a separate work.
Often I'm inspired by the beauty of outdoor nature. Also there are feelings and color combinations or visions in my mind and heart that I desire to express and share to others also painting them simply to remember them or to work something out in my own heart.
Because of a persistent need to move on I do not force myself to put my art into a specific category or rules box. Presently, a scripture that comes to mind which could apply to my purpose in art is Philippians 3:13"...forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." On the other hand, a diary is also being left as a visual remembrance of things learned, expressions and experiences.
If you are not blessed part of my goal has not been accomplished.
